Windows XP and C-Media soundcard on KK266 Plus:
Anyone else running this, mine is absolutely HORRIBLE sounding and freezes my system.

Have you tried the latest C-Media drivers...?

i have tried the drivers from the CD, the drivers from the Iwill site, asus drivers, and the drivers from C-Media. i think it might be an OS issue.

Could you list your system specs and the OS you're using?...could be helpful in trying to determine your problem.;)

recently had the same problem on a soyo dragon and it was just the way it was. new drivers didnt help, just another tribute to low cost onboard sound solutions.

I have switched to windows 2000 and it is working OK, but it is nowhere near SB Live quality or better like i was told :(
