Well im sure im not the first to have done this..I earased data on a cdr that had backups of alot of pics, programs and text. what software is out there that might be able to help me retrieve at least some of this data back?? So im not at a complete loss ...not sure if i did a quick erase or full but i think it was a quick erase..
Hmm i think it's toast.
I've never heard of anything that will fix that problem.

Sky: You can erase data on a CD-R. The CD has to be in writable state under Direct CD. It works like a huge floppy drive, which never gives you back space. If you delete data on this CD-R, the space occupied by the data is forever lost. I'm sure there's some way to recover these files, but I've come up with zilch so far. I don't have to tell you while I was looking.
rUfnKy: If it's a CDRW, I'm not sure there's any way at all to recover the data. However, if you do find a way, my email id's in my profile. I need to do this on a lot of CD-RWs. Thanks in advance.
