I just installed my ayhjar-y 1.4 TBird with a Step Thermodynamics cooler/fan I used on my 1.2 TBird.
My 1.2 TBird went to 1.466 without problems.
My 1.4 TBird hit a brick wall at 1.600 (12x133).

I'm thinking of upgrading my cooler and I have used Peltiers in the past on P3 systems with good results. However, I don't sede much info on Peltiers and AMD cpu's. Even the Swiftech site shows their Peltier combo's with the message 'Not for use with AMD cpu's". What gives?
Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with a recent TBird and a Peltier setup?
Thanks for your feedback!

Welcome to the forums.

With the highend amd cpu's a very high wattage pelt is needed and a very good watercooling system is needed to cool the pelt.

I'm sure that its been done. You will probably get more resposes if this gets moved to the cooling forum though.

I'm beginning to see that air-cooled pelts and tbirds don't go together very well...
My apologies for posting in the wrong forum.
Thanks for the feedback.

172W running on a 24V PSU.
