Any way to wire a ccfl directly to a normal ac outlet?
You'd have to use a transformer to get the voltage up to 600 VAC and the current down to whatever CCFLs use. There's also a wallwart (wall AC > DC converter) that some modding stores sell (Directron, Frozen CPU maybe?) that has a molex on the end. You could plug the inverter into that and put the CCFLs into the inverter. You could also take any wallwart and wire it to the inverter. Just make sure the wallwart can provide enough current.
