how far do you think i could go overclocking a 5700LE (270mhz) and have it run stable with no extra cooling?

lap the heatsink, change the thermal compound and you'll be able to get it to around 325MHz core. Add some ramsinks and you should be able to get to 520MHz memory. For faster speeds, you'll have to change the stock GPU heatsink/fan.

I can run about 505MHz on the core and 486MHz on the RAM using stock cooling. I haven't done anything to my card and it can do that.
Every card is different though, so you may be able to get more or less than I did.

Well, I can get 500MHz on the core too but the question is, is it stable for long? And the answer is no. I will lock up after about 30 minutes of intense video use. So to be on the safe side, don't go above 350MHz core and 500MHz memory for stock heatsink/fan
