This is my first system build in over several years and unfortunately I've run into numerious hurdles (use to have a vortex2 and those drivers gave me so many problems). Anyways, after installing my system last night, I decide to put my brand new Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro in. The sound from the mobo worked fine before. After installing the card and the drivers, I could not get any sound from anything anymore, mobo, audigy cary, nor the audigy front i/o panel . This is extremely frustrating especially since how much I paid. I downloaded all the updates from creative but to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Also on a side note, after installing the creative drivers I get a runtime error everytime I boot up. Dialog box says "itevio.dll" missing. Any input on this problem would be great too.

did you disable your onboard sound in your BIOS? that could be the problem.

go to the 'sound' section in the control panel, make sure the sound output devices are set to the card, not the MB, ive seen that problem before, my MB has onboard and i use an Audigy, and sometimes after a driver install or hardware change, i have to reset the sound device outputs. also reinstall all the latest drivers, after removing the older ones.

Got it working thanks for the quick respons guys. If it weren't for these forums I'd prolly go out and buy a dell.
