I am going to be getting a pair of 256s PC133 CAS2 ram stickes, my question is: Which brand should I get? And does gold platting make a difference?
This ram will not be overclocked over its rated 133 so there wont be any worry there.
Thanks:)

I'd go with Crucial, myself. Free second day shipping, great prices, great quality. :)
From those two I'd pick infineon just because the name's cool and i am using it. Gold plating does make a difference but not much.Gold plating just makes the contacts lasts longer. U don't really need gold plating because ur computer will be too old b4 the contacts degrade.

Micron.....with a bit of luck you can get those chips running @ 143 CAS2 even if it's rated CAS3, If it's rated CAS2 (7E chips) running it @ 148 CAS2 probably wont be a problem.
for me miron ddr is the choice because they're good and easy to get in hk.
I absolutly agree with -=sky=-.
crusical ddram are the best but hard to find.
micron ddr comes next and they are good and easy to find and also cheap. (HK$300 for 256MB DDR Micron)
huh, I got my Micron 128s up to 151 Cas2, haven't yet hit the wall at Cas3!
BTW these sticks have Xerox brand chips on them.
