View Full Version : Dual CPU Dual GPU Mobo's around yet?
I seen the new Alienware ALX, they have Dual Xeon's with the 800fsb and Dual Graphics. Was wondering if any of that is available in boards we can buy? Buying something from alienware (again) is not something I am interested in doing. I was also thinking about going ahead and transitioning into the PCI-E phase, since most likely if there is such a board already it will be in PCI-E. But either way doesn't matter just looking to do some research on them, if you guys know anything let me know. Only thing I know of is the server boards, which would probly be find if I found one that took unregistered memory, But havent seen any with the support of dual Video cards.

I'm not aware of any tumwater (intel), any nfroce 4 (amd) boards that are available yet. Wait until after the newyears, we should see boards then.
There's quite a few E7525 Tumwater boards out from Supermicro, Iwill, Asus, Gigabyte, Tyan, etc.
SLI PCI-E is available from Supermicro already I believe, although Iwill and Tyan have one as well I believe.
Check out forums.2cpu.com and you'll see threads on quite a few of them.

IIRC even if it has the two mechanical x16 slots there is still some config thing thats missing. Like how the Opteron nforce2 boards have that sli chip thing inbetween the two x16 slots. I havent seen any board other than the dn800-sli thats actually advertised to support SLI. And thats not being tested yet.
Pretty sure you cant just have the two slots, the board has to explicitly state it supports SLI.
