Hi all

I´m about to upgrade my video card. I´m not really sure what to buy though. The choices are:

*A GeForce GTS pro 64 Mb card: Gainward AGP GeForce2 Pro/450 64MB
*A GeForce Ultra card: Inno3D GeForce2 Ultra 64 Mb
*A GeForce 3 card: They seem to be all kinda the same.

The Ultra card is about 35% more expensive than the GTS pro card. Cheapest available GeForce 3 card is about as much as two GTS pro cards.

What is the best choice here? Is there a noticable difference between the two GeForce2 chips? Is the hefty extra cost for an GeForce3 worth it´s price?

Best of regards,
Henry

If its a new purchase get the Geforce 3. Games in the next year should look very nice on the G3 with the features it has incorprated in it.

Or you can wait a little longer and buy the Radeon 8500/8800 which is sure to be a powerhouse.

Heheh I love that word.

Wait a couple weeks if you can, now is a bad time to upgrade.

Sorry I didnt really answer the question but I wouldnt suggest buying anything right now if you dont need to.

Problem is that I have already sold my MX400 to a buddy, he needed it and I´m a nice guy. :(

I could however put an old G200 16 Mb in it´s place for a while. Do you think I should do that and see what else is coming?

best of regards,
Henry.

anyways.......i wouldnt recommend any inno3d cards......they suck bad, or at least the ones i tried are.......i tried 5 different cards made by inno3d and they all scored lower than other brands(ASUS, Leadktek, etc)
