Hi all
Forgive me, but what is the best: Having the fan blowing onto the sink, or sucking up from it? (the cpu fan HS)
:D

I think having the fan blow onto the heatsink works better, but you'd be better off getting more opinions than just mine. :)

Try it and find out Henry. I say that because it varies from heatsink to heatsink, so you really should just give it a whirl yourself.

Yeah, I think I will do that. Right now I´m having 52 degrees C, but it reaches 68 at full load. I have my fan sucking from the sink. I´m going to reverse it and see what happens, if you are intrested I can post the result of that.

some heatsinks have a skirt that goes down to about half way down the heatsink, if your does not it will be better blowing
When I got the Alpha PAL6035 I tried it both ways and got the same results ,so i left it blowing thur the hs.try it both ways and see what ya get.Has anyone tried changing the Glaciator? Or can't it be done? I'v got one but never really looked to see, maybe I'll give it a try and report back what came of it.
swiftech mc 462 same results sucking, blowing ,skirt, no skirt :D

If it comes out to be the same there are many reasons why I would go with blowing, one of which is it can use the case cooling, especially if you have a side blowhole.
