I got 2x512Mb Mushkin PC3500 Level 2 BH-5 memory but my motherboard - A8V Deluxe only has v2.8 max

If I get OCZ Booster, can i get to v3.3 or something ?

I dont know anything about volt mods.

BTW, whats the best way to OC (on air) A64 3800+ with BH-5 RAM ?

As far as what I have read about the DDR boster, it can supply up-to 4v. So, yes it can provide 3.3v

You other question would be best asked in either of these 2 places, but not both.

Has anyone toasted their ram doing this yet? I mean.. i've heard of toasted CPUs, video cards, caps, bridges, but never a burnt stick of memory...

Reread Fishy's post, please note the phrase 'best asked'.

Server busy I had a thread related paragraph but forum burped I would rather bitch than retype it. And I am lazy but thanks to the OP for showing me a product I did not know of before.

the asus a8v has a vdimm OVP, so over 3.15v or so, the comp will shut down.

tom holck of denmark has figured out how to bypass it, and has used a booster up to 3.9v on his A8V, but he wont share how to do the mod. his hint was that its similar to the asus SK8N mod.

Yes SteveOCZ said the same thing. Your Mobo will shutdown at 3.1V.
Too bad he's keeping it a secret (the guy from Denmark) but I'm sure somebody here will figure it out soon.
