The question is in the subject... why are the 1.3 and 1.4 200FSB chips more money then a 266fsb chip....
also with a sepox 8k7a support a 1.4 or only upto a 1.3....thanks
cuz they're old...
look at K6-2 and K6-3 prices...
see, when the old chips are obsolete.. they devaluate..
problem is, when purchased they were expensive... so look:
i buy 40x K6-2 @ $50ea. for resale
they don't sell.
now i have 40 K6-2 worth $2.50 ea.
to sell at that price, i might as well give em' away...
so i cut my losses at $25....
now some sucker will eventually come along and buy a K6-2 for his socket 7... and pay more for it than a duron...
i still lose money... but not a complete loss.
if you have a slot mobo... and want an upgrade, you have to pay old school price, because theoretically they'll never drop below a certain price where loss justifies. the guy paid so much for it to resell...
although with SDRAM... we've seen thats not always the case...
usually is tho.

The 200 are more than the 266 because there is a much greater supply of 266's than 200's.
The Epox 8K7A will support all current Athlon CPU's including the 1.4Ghz.
