Hello everyone.

Recently I bought a asus geforce fx 5700le I fell kind of stupid now since I realized the fallowing.

a) It was overpriced (151$, ya WAY OVERPRICED! )
b) my old card was probably better (radeon 7500 or geforce mx440)

I cant really return it so im going to have to deal with it

anyways here what i need to know, Is the 5700LE really that bad? would my radeon 7500 or geforce mx440 have peformed better?

right now im thinking of tweaking it to get better results, I have and old amd athlon 2200xp+ stock heatsink + fan Im thinking of replaceing some parts on the video card with some of my older heatsinks etc... what do you recommend?

p.s. to everone else who hasnt bought a card yet but wants to, look at rateing charts befor you buy to see core speed + ram speed and compair them then ask around.

sorry for my spelling I know its slaughter.

well when you have time please reply

oh and dont buy from www.microbytes.com

i have a 5700LE. they arent so great but BLOWS UR old card out of the dust or a mx440. you cant even compare them. its old, and not up to date though and im gonna trade mine in for a 6600GT AGP maybe a 5950 ultra refurbished. so no, its not bad but its not so great either.

I checked the vga charts for the cards I guess your right, its totally owns my old cards :) at least I get better graphics then befor but im sure I could have gotten a better card for the same price...

Right now im pritty stuck on the idea of overclocking the core and ram of my 5700le to bring it around a normal 5700 or a wee bit higher, since im useing stock cooling pushing to its max is not an option.

Im going to mod a fan onto to feed it some air and eventually ill probably take my old stock heat sink from the 2200xp and cut it up and make heat sinks for it.

Im new to o/c but im really enjoying it

my cpu was first oc (+300mhz)

They have a 9600XT for $269, so I doubt if anyone would buy there....Oppps, unless you did? :p

the site is not accurate, the prices are lower on the site or says things are still in stock but when you go most of the stuff isnt there or has a diffrent pricing.

im going to go and buy my stuff from the states as much as possible now unless some new store with magical prices appears :D (a.k.a when the indean reserves stop selling radeon 9200 and start selling some x800 etc...)

anways the purchase was done and theres not much i can do about it...

hey can anyone point me to a "how to" overclock my video card :)

people are saying that if you bios flash it then it will be permenant but if i just use power strip and change the core / ram speed wouldent it do the same thing?

im guessing its like overclocking a pc almost, for the exception of useing powerstrip
