Read through the archives regarding surround headphones and see a lot of talk regarding the Zalman surround headphones.

I've been pretty happy with my Sony MDR-CD380s(regular headphones) - great bass and sound. My SB live does pretty good with audio for these.

Curiuous if anyone had had good experience with any other brands of 5.1 headphones as of late?

surround headphones are a fad. it is not possible to get a true surround experience when the speakers are right next to your ears. there is simply not enough directional change to make it realistic. really what the zalman headphones are doing is a quadrophonic headphone since its impossible to have a center channel or subwoofer in a headphone its simply trying to reproduce the front left and right and rear left and right giving a poor surround experience.

avoid them like the plague.

Yeah I got to try them the other day.. They have REALLY poor sound quality.. Poor to the extent that you might as well get a pair of wallmart $15 cans for anything but 6 chan audio.

Do not waste your money on these headphones. If you want to upgrade you should grab a pair of Sony MDR-V6's they are excellent headphones and they are about $60.
