View Full Version : Can people get me information on A+ Courses?
I was talkin to some people today about gettin a job, i explained to them what i could do with computers, and they said i should consider doing the A+ course. They also say its like a very world wide qualification, so i need people who have done it to give me some information about it please.
Thankyou,
Th0r.

It's not hard and not like a gold star on your resume or anything either, it's just kind of a hey, I know what I'm doing with hardware and the basics tin star. http://www.comptia.org
It's not going to make you go from a fry-cook at McDonalds to a 40k a year job like they claim. You SHOULD get it, just don't expect the world to beat a path to your door.
Yeah, but still, its a jump up from what i am doing :p Thankyou for the link, but i would still want some more information from other people who have done it.
The tests are not as easy as everyone says.
That's really all I have to say about that, though I did pass the tests without ever having gone to one of those prep classes.

I'm taking a class for it right now... didnt even read ch 10, and I got a 96.4% on the test.
If the A+ is anything like the course(made by cisco and hp), I'll have no problem. Ofcourse, Im pretty good with PC's naturally...
Stuff like socket types, atx psu voltages, dimm types, dimm speeds, installing drivers, installing variosu things, properly uninstalling. basic hardware and software tasks.
