well Albatron comes out with theirs in a day or so. Should i wait for it or get the XFX one?

here is a link to the Albatron one http://www.albatron.com.tw/english/it/vga/specification.asp?pro_id=127

edit: better yet, should i go with a 6800nu that can be unlocked totally for $280? Or should i stick with the 6600gt for $235? Which one is the greater bang for the buck?

if you buy a 6600GT buy the cheaper of the 2 , personally I would look for a used 6800nu or buy a bfg at outpost.com. They have at 249 and I called early today they said in stock but person seemed a little lost http://shop4.outpost.com/product/4082672/ I hope this is still in stock at end of week

Alos Black Friday PNY 6800nu for 199 after MIR if you can get one

So do you justify the extra $50 for the 6800nu?

edit: WTF, why is outpost charging me tax when i live in WA and they dont have any here?

If they are charging you tax and you dont live i nthat state i wouldnt buy from them. I belive its against the law to charge taxes from another state. Im not sure but i know they cant do it cuss you dont live thier.

What do the XFX 6600 look like ? nm

The XFX looks pretty decent, the Albatron looks like Toyish to me with that fan.

The XFX i belive comes with like 3-4 games. Newegg thier outa stock but thier $225. If the Albatron isnt out and doesnt come with any games or such i would get the XFX.

My PNY didnt come with poop, but it was in stock locally so i just grabbed it.

personally I would have got a 6800nu just for a shot at chance of a soft mod. But there is no guarantee it will unlock 100%. Still overall once overclocked the 6800nu is the faster card but the 6600GT is good value at 214 after the 15 discount at buy.com

so the 6600gt is a good value.. but what is a better bang/buck? And i found out they opened a Frys in WA last year, so the tax is there.

The 6800NU if its faster then the 6600GT even when the GT is oced then the 6800NU makes sense to be the better bang for buck card, unless the price diff between the 2 reaches $50.
