All ready dead? Ahh I see. 1 pm MST. Wait, is that in 10 min's?

when I went to the link, the mushkin site says they are no longer selling it. one of the posts in the forum said it was only valid until 1pm MST. So I guess they cut it off 15 minutes early for me. Dunno...
It could be like the Fatal1ty website. They opened it exactly on time when I was waiting for that.
well it did say it started at 1pm MST... but who knows
edit: "these will not be available until 1PM MST on November 23"
IT WORKS!!!!!! and at $145!!! awww yeah
Yeah, that's what I was about to post. Look at the bottom right corner of the Mushkin website and they have a Colorado clock, and it shows 12: 57 right now.
just checked it it works now $145
Wow, 150 bucks for a 512 kit. That's pricey.
I paid $155 at newegg for my 512 Mushy PC3500 Black Level 2... plus they will not ever be available again =P sad sad day
Yeah, but OCZ is putting out some ram on Monday that is warrantied up to 3.5V and will hold a 2-2-2 timing up to 250 Mhz. What's the point in buying BH-5 now?

Very expensive I must say. And do they guarentee Dual channel?
Piazza0028
11-23-04, 05:28 PM
yes, if you order 2 sticks of them then they automatically give you a matched pair, and with the coupon code they're cheaper than OCZ Platinum Rev 2 and they're close to PQI Turbo, if worse comes to worse you could always ebay them for like $300

Wow.....I thought the stuff was extinct. Must have had it stashed away in a closet. :p
Nice deal if one was in the market for hi-perf ram.

yes this is a good deal, I recall paying a little less than this for my 256 matched pairs of PC 3500 (yes faster but half the size) I think my BH-5 lvl 2 black stuff was 160 bucks eahc, so this is a dang good deal IMO. especially with thew coupon code mentioned above to make them even cheaper. So if I hadnt just bougfht a whole new system I proly woulda grabbed some of these, oh well >.<

$270 shipped. That's a really good deal... too bad I'm so broke :bang head
Oh well, I like my new OCZ EB sticks. Kinda hard to tighten the CAS latency over 235 MHz, so I usually keep it at 2.5 or 3. Have to get one of those OCZ voltage booster things and show this thing who's the boss ;)
Damn these athlon 64's and their RAM-picky motherboards

I bought a set - @261 shipped. Dunno if I'll keep 'em or not, but I could certainly make money on ebay.

Just out of curiosity... what type of speeds should I expect from this ram? This is my first bh-5 but I've heard they are great chips, so I have high hopes.

Dangit! I am just now reading this post. Saw the news about the bh-5's on another thread while roaming around the boards and I already ordered.... Could have saved $30! Oh well, maybe because I paid full price for it I'll get the pick of the litter. :)

Yeah, but OCZ is putting out some ram on Monday that is warrantied up to 3.5V and will hold a 2-2-2 timing up to 250 Mhz. What's the point in buying BH-5 now? Yep. And it looks like the MSRP for the new OCZ " Voltage eXtreme" will be less than their TCCD stuff. Mushkin must have figured out that OCZ had a BH-5 clone and decided to unload the supply they had squirreled away. Strange how boatloads of refurbed HyperX BH-5 showed up at Outpost last month. Kingstons may have backdoored their returned inventory once they got wind of the news from their moles working in the (not so) secret labs of OCZ. Only place I can find the new stuff is at ExcaliberPC for $259 2x512mb. (http://www.excaliberpc.com/product_info.php?products_id=4343) Price is a little higher than I thought, but it will still under-cut the BH-5 market. With OCZ blessing every stick (and including a great warranty) why would you be buying BH-5 from anyone else. I'm already tempted to buy them but I'm already sitting on 6 512mb BH-5 sticks now. And its a bit uncomfortable. :p

i just received my gig of BH-5. Looks like its been used as evident from the marks on the gold contacts. Wondering if these are actually refurbished sticks. We'll see how it performs when i get home tonight.

I seriously doubt they are refurbished - most likely, they were tested at Mushkin's HQ in Denver.

can bh-5 do something like 1.5-2-2-?, ?

htey are sending me one stick
can bh-5 do something like 1.5-2-2-?, ?
Isn't possible I'm betting. Your board probably only goes down to cas 2. On my board the lowest timings I have are 2-1-1 (something). I'd be interested to see if BH5 can hit that at any speed with high vdimm. That would be something.

can bh-5 do something like 1.5-2-2-?, ?
as enduro stated, any normal motherboard is only going to go down to CAS 2. So 1.5-2-2-??? is out of the question. i don't think you will get better than 2-2-2-??? out of your bh-5, although i have read of someone running their bh-5 @ 2-2-2-2 timings- that's probably the tightest timings you could run. set your Tras @ 2 at your own risk! i won't run mine below 5. cheers!

In an NF3 DFI board they do...

was a guy in here talking about using this w/ a 2.4c? I'm too lazy to relok thru the thread, heh. Anyway, I was wondering how this mem worked w/ that (also w/ a p4c800 dlx)

A larger pic would be nice b/c you could verify if those are the A or Non A chips.

Yes, they are non-A. A chips would be HyperX KHX3200AK2/512

The thing is that the seller could be a liar and saying they are BH5.

You had a bad experience with eBay RAM? I have a set of these and they are only 1 MHz less capable than my early Corsair TwinX BH-5.
