Some people have been emailing me asking me why I have a Full Tower well here's why:
1) Bigger more space for CDROMs Hard Drives.
2) Easier to work in no need to move the PSU to remove anything like the processor or heatsink
3) Extra Case Fan Mountings Great For An OverClocker!!!!
Tons more space for big 120mm fans on the side panels!!!!!
An excellent cooling potential is in most full tower cases if you can afford them!!!

And here's the weird thing - I got a full tower case for less money than mid-towers from the same company. o.O

Ditto that, My case was $15 cheaper than the mid-tower version. I also like all the room I have, you don't have to move anything to remove drives or HSF.
I have 3 120mm Panaflo 69cfm fans, 2 80mm Panaflo 40cfm fans and 1 92mm Panaflo 45cfm fan. I also have a I Storm II HDD cooler. A CD-Rom, CDRW and DigiDoc 8 temp sensor, I still have 2 open external bays and 2 internal bays.

my tower has 5 80panaflos and one 92mm panaflo and I am finishing two other top mounted 120mm the 90cfm model in a couple of midtowers before I release the dremel on my sweet 1240sx case. was think 180cfm coming out of the top!

I agree with you 100%. I picked up a killer server case for only $45.00 USD from a "scratch and dent" table at my local dealer, and there was not scratch one on the case. I put in my own PSU, and it's rockin. I guess the only argument for us is that mid's are more easily transported, but my server goes wherever I want it to ;)

True the full towers are a problem when it comes to lan partys and such like...
I am thinking of modding mine with a handle or finding someone who would be able to make a sort of "carry bag".
does anyone know where I could get such a device???
thanx

handles are easily enough affixed...just get some u-bolts and some sort of strap. That's what I did for my mid-tower. :)

Mine's not hard to move at all. It has wheels. :)
Even though it's heavier than the case I moved my computer out of, with the wheels it's still many times easier to move. And it's tall enough that I don't have to stoop to reach the case and push.

Where did you mount the U bolts? I've been thinking about doing this, but I'm afraid that I will bend the case when I pick it up.

For the most part I'd say you don't really have to worry about that...but here's where I did mine.
I actually prefer mid-towers, they're easier to cool with less fans and you have a little more control over the pathing of in/out airflow since there is less airspace. I dont have to use more than two fans to get cool enough to be happy with.

Personally, I agree. My next serious computer is going to have a server cube, though, as I would like the room to keep all of the water cooling and such stuff in the case. I managed to cram a decent water cooling system in the mid that I have, but I've got some rather large plans for my next computer. :)
I use a server case for my home system as I like to mount all my HD in 5.25 bays with their own cooling fans. I also space the drives to every second spot so that the drives are not bunched up together and heat each other up with no air flow. I have a mid tower case for my lan box that has a handle built in. I got a bathroom safety bar (like old people have beside their bathtub) and srewed it to the top of my case. The bars are adjustable to your case (pull off one of the ends and cut the bar to lenght). Look great as the bar is big and thick with a knurled grip.

Saw someone who had installed one of these on top of his case.http://www.homedepot.com/cmc_upload/HDUS/EN_US/asset/images/pii/2/4/9/7/A17942_3.JPG
Carried it like a suitcase, afterwards.
That picture is very similar to my setup except that my handle comes apart in three pieces (two ends and one bar). This will allow you to cut it to the correct lenght to match your case. When I was looking I saw 9" , 17", 24" and 36" bars and I needed 14.5".

I like the option of putting a shoulder strap on mine (obviously, since I added the option in myself) so that I can carry that and my monitor at the same time.
And then my arms will fall off. :)
