Using PSU without Mainboard

I am gonna use a spare old ATX PSU for lights and stuff and want to know if there is a way I can use it without connecting it to a mainboard by connecting a switch to it. I think this can be done, but I have no idea how. So if someone has done something like this, I'd be happy if you tell me how or give me a link. Search function seems not to work for me (even if I enter 'mobile' it says no results...), so I am sure if something like this has already been asked before. Thanks in advance,
