View Full Version : why can't my computer play burned dvds?

so i'm not able to play burned dvds on either my laptop or desktop. i've tried dvds that were burned on 2 seperate computers. i've also verified the burned dvds work in the dvd player hooked up to my tv. is there maybe a software update for xp that could fix this?

What kind of DVD burner is it? Go to their website and try and see if there is a firmware update for it. If so give it a try and see what happens. Seems odd though. I had a similar problem but it was the DVD's that were the problem. Try changing the brand of DVD's.
