I posted this in "Alternative OS" and realized that this dealed with Internet and Networking also. So I'll post it here too.

I've got an old 200Mhz Pentium MMX with 48MB of RAM sitting down here in my basement. I want to set up a web server on it. I duel-boot Windows 98SE and Mandrake on my main computer so I know how to use Linux OK. I tried putting Mandrake on the 200Mhz and X was so slow it wasn't even funny. I want a command line Linux distro that will allow me to easily set up a web server, and possibly an FTP server later. It also must be reletively secure. Please advice me on what Linux distro to use and any tips and/or instructions on how to set up a web server in Linux. I'm totally ignorant as to the programs and stuff you need for a Linux web server so I'll need some help.

You can still use Mandrake, just choose "web server" when you're installing. You don't have to run xwindows, just choose not to when installing.
