does anyone know where a person could get a water pump. doesnt even have to be specifically for this application. I wanna custom build a water cooling system. I am assuming you can buy the water blocks separately. I live in canada, winnipeg more specifically. if there is a store in winnipeg.

I would hit up most aquarium/pet stores if you want one from the Eheim, Hydor, MagDrive (Supreme), Quiet One, or Via lines. Most of the submergible pumps are nothing more than aquarium or pond pumps. You can also check many Home & Garden centers for 'pond' type pumps.

Pumps like Iwaki, PanWorld, or Little Giants can be more of a challenge. The only places I have found locally (in the US) that carried them were medical supply distributors.

If you don't find any local stores that carry the pumps you want, below is a list of Canadian mail order firms that carry water-cooling gear that I have collected over the years.

www.bigfootcomputers.com
www.e-compuvision.com
www.vibecomputers.com (I think these guys are moving out of water-cooling)
www.criticool.com
www.jlaquatics.com

I have only had personal experience with Bigfoot and Vibe (both good). Be sure to check www.resellerratings.com as well.
