PS problems HELP!!!!

I just put together a new system yesterday and have nothing but problems. I put a new abit kg7-raid mb with a 1.4 athlon and two w/d 80gig 7200 drives in a raid 0 config. System runs fine but when I turn it off and it sits for a while WITH THE SYSTEM OFF (but the power strip on to the ps) the power supply blows. I have went through two just today trying to figure out what is causing this. When the system is on it works fine but when the system is off (but the power strip is still on so the PS is still getting power), after about 10 minutes or so the ps pops. I have alot of stuff in the case (3 hd's 2 cd's 3 case fans...) but again it works with the system powered up, it only after I have shut it off that it fails. Both ps's that failed were sparkle 300w. I can just turn off the strip but that doesn't answer why it is doing this and I don't want to screw anything else up by letting it go. Please help anyone!!! E-mail shawnboy7@yahoo.com Thanks!!!

how is it that you're talking about TWO psu's??

you say both "sparkle 300"

do you have em' connected together or something?

if not, then theres no reason for this to be happening, and you should take em back...
if they are rigged up together, then you obviously did something wrong, or they just wont run paired.
weird things can happen with low end electronics, and i think "sparkle" isn't AMD approved
