i dunno what pump i should get, would the ehiem be better because it makes less noise?
how much noise would the dd pump make?
are both pump similar in their capabilities?

the dd pump is more powerful than the ehiem pump, but would the eheim pump be sufficient for what I am running? I would prefer the silent option, but would my fans drown the noise the dd might make?

NOTE: i will also be using a dd mase 4 gpu w/b aswell

One thing to consider is, the pump you listed works off a molex (I think), while the Ehiem runs off AC. It would be less of a draw on the PSU, but it means another wall plug-in, and since you're from the UK you might need a convertor as well.

cant i use the relay? The site i am ordering from is a uk site and they can supply the pci relay card, also they would say wheither it would work in the uk. Setting it up is no problem, its just what it does that im interested in.
Thanks

You could get a relay, it should work.
I think my Ehiem 1250 is pretty good, but I'm planning on getting a 1260 for my next project. The DD's havn't had any major problems that I'm aware of, but we know the Ehiem's don't. It's more or less a matter of personal preference.

you say personal preference, but what is there really to decide?

is the Ehiem 1250 silent aswell, where can i find the specs of all the pump?
like the dd, swiftech, ehiem. The head and gallons etc..

do ehiems last longer than all the other pumps?

and would the ehiem 1250 support what i need it for? its gonna cool the cpu and graphics card. Would the dd pump be more than enough? Will the ehiem 1250 do?

Eheims are generally utterly silent. Put them on a foam pad and you will not hear them over a couple 120mm fans at ~6v\
That is my understanding, which is why I am planning on using a 1250 on my WC setup.

The DD D4 pump has a high-pitched whine, at the same audible level as an old loud HD idling (that whining noise from older 8GB or 12GB laptop HDs, or the old 10 to 20GB IDE HDs).

My laptop's 12GB HD is almost identicle to pitch and audible level as the D4 pump (with side cover off of my case). If that gives you an idea of the noise level. Others are annoyed by it, I don't think it's bad cause I come from a long line of PCs (early 80s). I think younger PC owners here are spoiled by today's latest technology. LOL

Others are annoyed by it, I don't think it's bad at all. Just now with the watercooling setup, that's the only noise I have left (except the Raptor drives when i access data, yes I'm that picky on noise levels). So to recap, if I can hear the 10,000rpm Raptor drives and mention that in the audio level, and say the D4 doesn't bother me, that gives you an idea of the low level of it INSIDE a case. Now, setting outside or down low near a fan opening or such with no insulation, that's a differnet story.

I'm planning on picking up some 1 to 2" thick egg-crate style foam from Home Depot and stuffing it around my pump as I have plenty of room for that. I know that made the old IDE drives really quiet back in the day, so I don't see why it won't work for the D4.

Just fyi...
