I was having problems yesterday with overheating my cpu while runnning Unreal for hours. I usually can run 1700@1870 but only windows apps. I run it at 1785 most of the time with stock heat sink and fan. Anyways i was getting average seti times 3:50 to 4:10 using 105 FSB which gets me 1785 mhz. So after yesterday i turned it back to 1700 stock settings and let seti run all night. I just looked my last nights seti times and they are only between 4:20 to 4:35 now. I didn't think that small amount of overclocking would take so much time off. Can't wait to install a peltier/waterblock to see what happens.

Just the smallest adjustments can affect your crunching times. On my Palomino board, an increase of just 2mhz on the fsb can reduce my times about 5-10 minutes.

No prob. Just remember - raising the multiplier on the CPU is less effective than leaving the Multiplier at default and increasing the fsb as high as possible. More bandwidth = faster WU times.
