HELP! USBs

g'day
i got an ASROCK mobo
tried to hook up my front panel USBs from my case (but failed badly!) so i took out the cables from the mobo. then switched it on ok, it worked perfectly...went to bed, woke up...

XP log-on screen detected the USB mouse, logged in as Admin....XP didnt like it AT ALL, and ALL USB devices werent working.

before trying to connect my front panel, i had two USBs connected to the mobo, Mouse and a Power for my monitor - which also has 4 USBs(not sure its if 1.1 or 2.0). but the mobo is USB 2.0

i managed to get ONE USB working, the mouse, but when i connect my Flash Pen for example, the mouse isnt detected, so im assuming i can only plug in ONE USB for some reason

any tips?

Do you have Service Pack 1? It fixes some USB issues.

nah i got SP2.
like i said, before i did anything to my Mobo regarding the front panel, it worked PERFECTLY
in fact now, ive put a usb to power my monitor, plugged in the mouse to the monitor and its working fine, except a few lags cos of the connectivity (not really noticable).

still prefered the mouse to be on my mobo
and i can add my powered usb monitor and flash pen to my mobos usb.
