i have an AMD Duron 800MHz and i made my own water cooling at home. Nuclear tower water cooling (http://www.overclockers.com/articles389/) , that cools the water block with no added heat 6°C below ambient.

the problem is, i dont know why it does not cool the CPU, the temperature keeps rising, although the water block even acumulates some condensation on side from the low temperature (not drops, not dangerous).

i made my own water block, i made my own mounting system, which is not a "made in america" style. it is a plexi glass, mounted with four screws through motherboard on to the metal plate (part of the case) below the motherboard. i have a piece of high, round rubber at the center of the block, above cpu.

the temperature just keeps rising and i cant do nothing about it, till it gets into windows it reads ~45°C then i turn everything off.

i place a heated piece of copper onto my cooled water block, and the heat wanished within seconds. so the heat transfer is good.

i used the thermal paste... so, what kind of a mounting is the best ?

how much pressure is there between waterblock and CPU? is it seated correctly?

that's just it, i cant know if there is enough pressure, well it was more than enough once  , couse i heard a little wimp out of the cpu  . damn... it's all home made, so i cant know if it is enough...

You don't have enough contact pressure between the water block and the CPU. I have a homemade water cooling setup and when I first mounted it the temp started to rise just like yours. I tighten the mount in a criss cross pattern until I saw the plexi start to flex downward with the pressure. Not problems since but tighten slowly and evenly to avoid damage to your die. Be sure that your cooler is contacting the die and not hitting something else on the MB.

make sure you lap th ebottom of the block to maximize contact between the block and cpu, your pump might not be pushing enough water through the system. I found this out myself a few minutes ago, but make sure nothing is in front of the fan(s) that might block or disrupt air flow. I moved my radiator and temps dropped by 4 degress C
