I was looking at via's new hardware roadmap and the new chipsets coming out will have 8x agp support.

I wonder how long it will take before we see 8x agp video cards.

Wonder if we'll see that enormous performance jump like we did from 2 to 4X :p.

You had no performance difference with your gf3?
I sure did on the vh6T my scores would drop by almost 50% if it put it to 2x.

I know with my other card a gf 256sdr it didnt make much of a difference.

All my scores (5900+ in 3dmark 2001) were at 2X.

I didnt run 3dmark only Q3 timedemo and saw how poor the score was and but it back to 4x.

Framerates were like 127 in the Q3 demo, 75 in UT, 60+ with Bells and Whistles in Max Payne.

well, i wonder if even 4x has been well used up to now...
