My friend is building a MicroATX form factor computer, and at NewEgg for $319, found a Sapphire X800 SE Vid card, 256megs. Model# 102-A26126-00-AT...

Here's a link to the card Vid Card Link at Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=14-102-431&depa=1)

I wouldn't know but is this a good card? He's a gamer, plays mostly RTS games, esp. Total War Medieval, and will get Total War Rome.

I just dont know anything about the x800 series.

I dont know seems like a 9800xt to me. Heres what i would do, get a sapphire 9800pro flash it to an xt and then save for a x800xt.

yea hes right its alot like a 9800xt, what clocks does it come with? 450/400? well it does have higher clocks, plus at .13u it should easily do over 500 core, something few 9800xt will come close. However a 9800pro is half the price and even if it sucks at overclocking, it should still easily be 2/3 to 3/4 the performance and if his cpu isnt an overclocked a64, he has no need for such a fast card either. an even better deal is a 9700pro for just over $100

uh he would be 100x better with a winchester. if hes getting a p4, that means hes not really a gamer and it would be pointless for a high end gpu with a much slower cpu. a64s are the best gaming cpus by a mile dude........
