Well... I bought a pair for my g/f and she loves em... I had a listen to them before I gave them to her and they sound decent. They don't play extremely loud and the subwoofer is pretty lacking but they look great. A friend of mine also bought a set based on my reccomendations and he used them hard.... and not surprisingly the subwoofer blew out on them... also the power connector became loose over time and caused the unit to cut out pretty often. So I'd buy them only if you like to listen at moderate volumes and if you take care of them, oh and don't turn the subwoofer dial up past 5 or the sub will not last long.

Well, I'm thinking of getting them for my 6 year old. He's not going to crank them up, he doesn't like the volume loud. But he will abuse them. You said the power connector becomes loose. Doesn't the power connector goes into the sub unit? The subwoofer isn't going to get abuse or moved around, but the satellites he will drop them and stuff, his PC desk is small. I might just get this then. Thanks.

Well as long as you tuck the sub away somewhere the power cord should not come loose then.... be sure to advise him not to touch the drivers in the sattelites as he will probably be tempted to as the cone in the sattelite drivers looks like a silver bullet ;).

I just put in an order $40 isn't too bad. The speakers have grills that I dont think he'd know how to remove, so I think the cone should be safe. Thanks again.
