God!!!! I'm so irritated right now!

Whenever I try to listen to music in media player it plays the song but with this annoying clicking noise in the background. It's the clicking noise you get on IE when you click a link.

What is it doing in Media Player and how do I destroy it in the most pleasing of ways?

Is it trying to access the annoying media guide thingy?

I've always had problems with my sound with this crappy MSI board.
It better not be playing up again, took me 3 weeks to get it to actually play any noise.

Please can someone tell me how to fix this before I get really mad.

use a different audio player like winamp, see if it persists. if it doesnt, it's that stupid media guide thing, if it does, it's hardware.

Is there any way ti turn off media guide? I can't seem to find an option for it.

Well I'm using winamp now and it is so much better!

Thanks guys.

the programs i use for my media:
Media Player Classic (for video's//clips)
Foobar (for almost every audio to knownman if it doesnt have it built in it has a plugin)

winamp i've noticed is extremely bulky and isn't much of an improvement if any over WMP.
