This is a post best for AMD CPUs I'll try and get a mod to move it for you.

This is a quick guide to posting in the fourms.
Posting By Topic!
We enforce posting 'by Topic'. Please be sure that your posting is in the proper Topic. Misplaced posts will be moved and you may have trouble locating them later.

General Discussion: News of the day, personal experences and observations - a good place to share whatever's on your mind. Not the place to post hardware questions.

Intel CPUs: For Intel and Celeron questions.

AMD CPUs: for AMD CPU related questions.

Intel Mobos: Any Intel or Intel compatable motherboard.

AMD Mobos: Anything for AMD -type processor motherboards.

Cooling: Anything related to HSFs or water cooling systems, peltiers and the like.

Video and Sound cards: Tweaks, preferences, overclocking and trouble shooting.

Memory: Anything related to any memory.

General Hardware: This is for anything that doesn't have a better topic already. Ask about DVD or CD ROM stuff, cases, floppies, zip and tape drives, hard drives, etc.

New or Defective Drivers: Mother boards, sound cards, video cards, RAID card drivers, etc.

Software and Operating Systems: Anything related to OS's or software other than games, which has it's own Topic.

Networking: Home networks, work networks, how to set up networks. NIC/LAN cards, routers/hubs....cables... ISP's and modems.

Games: Set up group parties here or discuss old/new games.

Vendor Discussion: Got some good/bad news/experience with a retailer?

Debates: Want a heated examination on a particular subject, exploring numerous points of view?

Gripes and Moans: Got something you wanna complain about? (Any subject for the most part.).

Forum Comments and Suggestions: Got an idea that might improve O/C.com? Got something you'd like to see fixed?

SETI Stuff and Folding: Anything relating to configuring, running, and optimizing the SETI@home and Folding@home clients.

Cyber Deals: See a good price on memory or hardware/software? Post it for us to see, too! (Reader input only, no commercial posting allowed.)

Alternative Modding: Case modding, and anything you want to or have modified on your computer.

Programming Tips and Tricks.: A place to Discuss Members efforts or seek help.

Here is a link to a page which will tell you that. Page... (http://www.heatsink-guide.com/maxtemp.htm)

Keep in mind that on the page it says how much it will take before it dies, not before it locks up. (your chip might lock up at a lower temperature than on the table.)
