i have a chip on my core and it still works

With chiped cores if it works it works and if it don't it don't. I chiped a PIII and it was dead right away. I'v heard of people chiping cores and having the cpu still work...but for how long I guess depends on how bad the chip is..and how much you baby the chip to keep it alive.

I ran my 1.2 gig for month's with a chipped core. Just be very carefull when removing and reinstalling the HSF. Mine finally just died the other day. I would be willing to bet that if I would have left mine alone It would still be working right now. But no I always gotta futz around. Just the average overclocker I guess.
