I have the Linksys one and I rather like it.

The Linksys one has a switch and the 3com is a hub. Personally, I rather like the switched idea much more. :)

What do you mean by it has a switch ?

It has four ports on it and it uses a switch instead of a hub. This means that it has dedicated bandwidth to everycomputer...they all get their maximum bandwidth, all the time. With the hub you'll only get 100mbs for all of you computers, and collisions are more prevalent.

That's the short and dirty of it for you. :)

I love my Netgear RT314, it was a breeze to setup, has alot of features and it has had some great reviews:

Practically networked.com (http://www.practicallynetworked.com/reviews/netgear_rt314.asp)

PCExtremes (http://www.pcextremes.com/reviews/networking/rt314/index.shtml)

GamersDepot (http://www.gamersdepot.com/hardware/networking/netgear/gateway_router_RT314/001.htm)

**edit** Oh, I believe you can classify it as a switch, so better d/l rates too:D

I have a D-Link DI-804 that I got for $80 (US). Works well, and even has a built-in 4 port switch and a firewall.
