I'm preparing my new Abit KG7 MB and I was looking at the south bridge. I see that the Northbridge has a heatsink and fan but the south bridge has nothing. Anybody check the heat coming off the southbridge? Is it worth expoying on a heat sink? What about the Raid controller? I would like to do all the modding to the mB while it is on my bench rather that have to work inside the case. I will cross post this message to the AMD Motherboard forum as well.

Couldn't hurt to add a heatsink.

Put your finger on it while your CPU is at full load. I think you will find it's not hot enough to warrant cooling.

It won't hurt,
I put one on my KT7A, I don't think it made a difference but it looks real cool:)

I want to replace both of them with borbs cuz they look so much better:)
