ok, i have the mobile 2600+ its overclocked to 2525Mhz at the moment ( having heat problems...working on that first, then i'll go higher again )

well, its been at this speed for quite a while now. i used to do a WU in about 2 hours and 12 min. give or take a few.

well the past few days, its running a bit faster. i'm doing a WU in 1 hour and 55 min. again, give or take a few min.

thats roughly a 15 min. drop in Each Wu. and i have done quite a few WU's like this too. hasn't happend to just like 5, but more like 20 WU's.

i have no idea what caused this to happen. i havn't changed any settings at all, nothing that i know of would have done this.

anyone have any idea's at all? could it be my computer, or has anyone else had this happen to them recently? it COULD be the WU's....but i dunno.

I've run into a bunch of high AR wu's in classic. I've been popping out 4-5 extra wu a day for most of last week. It's been nice! :)

yeah, so i was thinking, either it was WU's.

that, and not TO long ago, i remember running Adaware, and clearing off some spyware.

but the thing is, i do that quite often, and every other time i have cleaned my computer of spyware, my speeds never changed.

but if it is the WU's, i'm thinking about upping my overclock just a bit more.

If these wu's crunch faster already, might as well try to knock off ever min. that i can off of these!

Sounds like a plan to me! Just make sure we have a stable oc, so we don't send in bogus wu reports. :)

Crunch long and prosper!

Sounds very familiar. My mobile 2500+ @ 240x10.5=2520Mhz has been doing them in about 2:10->2:15 and then ran into a bunch of WU's finishing in 1:45->1:55. It doesn't matter a bit though because of the credit system. You'll still have claimed credit for the day, week, month, year based on how long it took you to do the unit times your benchmark. As I understand if you did 5 in one day or 6 in one day your claimed credit would be exactly the same...24 hours times your benchmark.

edit:this post is for BOINC not seti classic, sorry if I misunderstood

yeah, you are correct on the credit system. but still...a part of me is still on seti classic. even if i don't get any extra credits...i still like to be able to crunch faster, and more.

also, my WU times are back to normal now. 2 hours and about 12 min. must have been a bunch of wu's then. darn, and i was hoping my computer got faster. heh.
