Thanks to Agent Mull for the head's up on this.
Been using em for a week or to now.
They improve HL2 performance mainly.
There rock solid stable for me.

Are they beta drivers for ATI cards? Officially or unofficially supported? And how much of a performance leap are we talking here in something like HL2?

I am testing it now. I do hope that this will remove the artifacting problem I have. I am current running this driver
wxp-w2k-catalyst-7-991-040224m-013831c
I dont exactly know what it is, but at least it dont artifact.

Game do run smooth, but artifacting still stays...............
Do you guys think this is a hardware problem, or driver issue?
Probably a HL2 issue.
I have no problems here though.

I downloaded the omega 4.12 Beta. On the clock rate tab it shows 2.5.97 and on the options tab it shows Omega 4.11. I thought it should show Omega 4.12 or am I incorrect.

I see the same thing too. I dont think this is somethign we have to worry about.
with these drivers i dont have all the settings.... i mean i cant adjust the quality of the video (performance to quality) like i could in previous versions...
Is this the same for everyone using this version of omega drivers?

there is a second part to that installation. You forgot to install the radlinker portion. Go to your Start Menu, and click on reinstall Omega drivers.

Yes, with the omega drivers, the gun still disappears.
But at least for me, the artifacting is a lot less that 4.11, 4.12 beta, and the previous omega driver.

HL2 runs fine for me. Got about a 100 point bump in 3d03. Do have one problem though; with any AA enabled, the text in Desert Combat Final (and BF1942 in general) gets pretty ugly--can barely read it.
