Ok with a pelt and waterblock system. Do you apply Artic Silver on the heat slug and in between the pelt and cold plate or what. The reason I ask is cause I don't want to mess up my rig.

Put it on all thermal interfaces, ie:- cpu core/slug to cold plate, coldplate to pelt cold side, pelt hot side to HSF/WaterBlock.

Yup, Limey is correct. Each and every themal junction needs thermal compound :)
