Heads up do not buy there games.
NovaLogic likes to do an bate and switch.
What do I mean, well in the game Joint Opps, you had a sniper scope plus each charter had a certain load out.
Well NovaLogic has removed the sniper scope and has removed many player options.
There is such an outcry about what they did, there response is deal with it.
There customer service is terrible and none responsive.
I bought a game that was great, but when they forced the patch, they stole the game from us.
Just an update they really suck.

they made steam to give us a more convenient and better gaming experience, not to give us a shaft.
NovaLogic sounds insane. you can't remove a scope from a tactical shooter!

We are addressing the issues and looking at all the posts. It is a shame that every time an issue comes up that people presume we don’t care about anything and they jump to their own conclusions.
The game is still a great game. It has some issues right now, but the key changes were made for the better and people will start seeing that once they give it a chance.

If somehow you even got the case heard you would lose and have to pay legal fees (possibly theirs too) that would be well over what the game cost.

The internee general is a college student who files papers in a back room all day, getting paid peanuts because the experience will make him succesful someday, if he can ever pay off his academic loans.
The attorney general is a head legal figure of the state or federal government.
Neither would give two ****s about the presence or absence of weapons within these games.
I think it is much more difficult anymore for people to accept the fact that they are bound by EULA's when they purchase software - you only pay to use the software in the terms laid out there. You are upset about what you agreed to.
Let's parrallel this, with someone who joins the army. A guy joins the army because he wants to travel and chase beautiful foreign women. He enjoys the advantages of being in the army, but then his country goes to war and he has to go kill people. He throws a fit about this because he didn't sign up to kill people, he signed up to chase tail.
Now you entered the EULA because you wanted to play the game. They had a reason for altering portions of the game, and the EULA outlines that this is their right if they deem it necessary.
You obviously aren't looking at all sides of this coin though however - while you may have some point, it is not well represented thus far.

We must be playing two different games then man. The copy of Joint Ops I have has a scope on the sniper rifles. Only thing they did was make it so a sniper couldn't zoom in, which is nothing to whine about.
All that I can say about this is LOL. I remember when Blizzard made some changes to SC through a patch, I was pissed at first since I loved playing as Protoss but afte the patch it made the Zerg and Terran much funner to play with and it leveled the playing field. They probably removed the zoom function to cut down on cheep easy kills, which you where probably a spawn point camper and loved doing this.

It was good speaking to you this morning.
In previous email correspondence and on the phone today I explained to you all the steps NovaLogic has taken to ensure that customers can play the original Joint Operations game – with the sniper scope zoom - if they wish. As of right now no other changes to the way the game plays are planned. The method by which customers can revert back to the original Joint Ops: TR game may take a few minutes and be inconvenient for a small number of people, as you suggested, but this is the only method available to do this sort of update.
Also as discussed, because customers can still play the original game, NovaLogic is not issuing any refunds.
I fully respect your frustrations and I would personally like to extend our apologies for any inconvenience the initial update may have caused you and your customers. However, I would like to reassure you that NovaLogic does listen to our customers and the company takes any potential feature changes or updates into serious consideration before implementing them into a game. There are valid reasons that may not be apparent to everyone, behind any changes we may implement and unfortunately not everyone will be happy with them.
As requested I have passed on your complaints to the President of the company, to make him aware of your issues.
I do have a record of the emails you sent to marketing@novalogic.com so there is no need to forward them to me.

As everyone said, you bought the game, you deal with it. You don't like it? Return it / sell it / stop playing it -- but whinning about it? Please, this is just a waste of computer space on our servers, come back with a reasonable arguement and THEN say something. Until then, stop with the 13 year old "I want this / I don't want this" remarks

Ok I play with a large clan.
I am one of 3 snipers in this clan.
We work as a team, the zoom feature help when you do not need to have full power zoom 16x.
We had target close and fare, having the zoom made the team play real and fun.
But if you were never a sniper then it does not matter to you, but if there is a 13 year kid who loves to run and shoot this is what the game became boom and zoom, no more team playing needed sucks.
It’s not just the sniper scope the removed flares from the helis that you need 2 people to fly it now, come on that realistic, many things were change and changed for the
Like I stated I will never buy another NovaLogic producted again and they way the handle theses issues I recomend that all do the same. You buy a game for fetures you like then it get takin away from you, is it still the game you bought no.

Unfortunately you don't get to read the EULA until you get it it home and open the package, but after you open the package you can't return it if you don't agree with the EULA. That means your stuck with the product weather you agree with it or not. They got us over the praverbial (SP?) barrel and know it, and there's not much we can do about it.

I'm surprised you got a response at all considering most of your posts were nearly unintelligible. If Novalogic's games didn't suck anyway, I'd applaud them for removing zoom on sniper rifles in multiplayer. Why don't they just remove sniper rifles from multiplayer entirely? They're only use by pansies who aren't actually capable of moving and hitting anything at the same time.
