View Full Version : FX5200 Bios Update
Hey all want to know what the best Bios for the Mad Dog Conquerer FX5200+ 8X agp card is.
i also was wondering why they say "up to 525MHZ memory clock? in the default settings it is 250/333 and if they DDr then it would be only ~275mhz clock?
also how do you enable fastwrites?
says in X-Bios that it fastwrites is supported but is disabled, and is but says that it is only running at 2x Agp! :bang head
Please Help!

...get Rivatuner to set your card up right, and OC it...

...I run my 5200 @315/461(ASUS) without probs, dunno about the 525 claim. As for the fastwrites, make sure it's enabled in your BIOS, and while yur scooping Rivatuner, get coolbits... :D

Here is a Mad dog bios with the clocks set at 250/400.

Make sure your card can handle those speeds before you flash it.Or you can just edit the bios you have.
Btw,I have a Mad dog 5200 and the stock speeds were 250/500.

did u buy this one? (http://www.mdmm.com/products/graphics/fx5200agp.asp)
if so maybe i should call mad dog and ask them why my speeds are so low...
I also enabled coolbitd nd guess what??
it says when i clock my memory to over 489MHZ that i test it and it says that it cannot be clocked there because it isnt stable...
i also downloaded rivatuner and WTH??????? says 64-BIT when on mad dog's site says 256 BIT!!!! in rivatuner wont let me enable fastwrites!
god this sucks....

...another case of BS by a card manufacturer. Excuse me, but isn't there a watchdog for this kinda BS? False advertising is false advertising, why do they get away with it? Mis-leading ads are just as bad, if not worse...
