Is thier anyway to increase performance on Ut2k4 ?

m tired of playing this game using on 2xAF, i play @ 1280x960 with all the game details to thier max, using 4xAA and only 2xAF.

I tried 2xAA and 4xAF and my fps still sucks. Its wierd when i change the AF from anything higher then 2x the game just slows down to much where my fps is in the purple or low yellow, which is like 20's-30's. This only happens on ONS which i know is more fps demanding then DM but still. On my system you would figure the game would run on those setting using 4xAA and 8xAF or 4xAF at least.


Is thier anything i can do to increase the performance, cuss it seems other people have a similer problem. :mad:

I can play 1600x1200 with details max, except no AA or AF with my 9800 pro. Why dont you crank your res and so you dont need AA and then crank the AF up a bit more?

Thats my problem i dont like 1600x1200 because he refresh rate is only 69HZ for the max, 1280x960 i can get a 85hz refresh rate, Even when i set the AA to 0, and the AF to 4x it still laggs during ONS. Deathmatch i can play @ 4xAA 8xAF 1280x960 ALL details to thier max just fine, but on ONS i have to turn the AF down from 8x to 2x or my fps will drop

i run it @ 1280x1024 max settings and max aa/af with decent frame rates in big levels(30-60), and 100+ in indoor maps.

You sure you have all the game details to highest where it says Wholy ***** ?? Also are you sure this is on ONS, im not talking about DM maps cuss those i can play and get over the 100fps like you. My problem in on ONS.

Play the map called Primeval on ONS ina server that has like 20 or more people (not bots) and i garauntee you that you wont be getting the 60-100fps @ 8xS 16xAF @ 1280x1024 with all the game details to thier max, you will be getting like 10 fps or lower.

he says holy ****, its all the way up, everything is, i avg 30-50 on onslaught, but at times in 30+ player games ill hit low 20's

See what i mean. I want fps in the upper 50-60's at least on ONS for that i have to turn the AF down to 2x why only the AF tho ??? wierd...
