Boot to the CD and it will let you reformat the HD and install the os.
If this is your first time using NT/2000 I reccommend that you install 2000 on a FAT32 file system. If you use NTFS it makes recovery difficult. If you are like the rest of us, Curious (sp), FAT32 is easier to fix than NTFS.

i have had some win2000 setup problems as well. i was using win98 and just booted from the w2k cd. it let me chose the win98 partition and format as ntfs. but then when i tried to reinstall it would not let me chose a partition and it would not go onto the c: pertition. i had to reformat it as fat32 to get it to install but then i got a dual boot menu???
what would be the proper way to install/reinstall win2k?
