I am stumped, i think its the mobo, but i dunno... youll ove this question :D

ok well here it goes, my friends dad dropped off his computer. its an HP with asus mobo, 512 ram, and some bizzar hd. now this is the fun part. you press power, all fans come on, hd comes on. BUT no video at ALL. i thought must be the integrated burned out, well i put a brand new verto pci card in there to try it, not working either. What could it be? it wouldnt start up without a working cpu, since the hd is coming on, nad no beep codes. so therefore the ram must work, so is it the mobo? the powersupply works fine as well 0.o

Same thing happened to me the other day...All i had to do was unplug all the power stuff and hit it really hard...and whalla it worked!...no idea why but it did...Wasnt my comp though...something probably came loose.

Does anything appear on the screen when you turn it on? Is the monitor light amber or green?

the monitor works as im typing my message on it right now and watching a movie on the 2nd one that i tried hooking up. hitting it doesnt work....

power supply is good, therefore it will turn on,

fans turn on hd spins up therefore cpu is good because of no beep codes

the motherboard seems the logical reason ;) ive ordered another one off of newegg,

Possibly the cpu aswell, though some boards will still give a beep if it detects faulty processor. But I might still put my money on the board.

the cpu is good, ive never encountered a pc that wont beep or even starup without a cpu...

so new mobo is coming in =)
