Did you smear thermal paste all over the stock HS before you glued them together? And personally, I don't think that's very effective for reasons I am now unable to explain.

the reason why i dident connect the apple hs directly to the gpu cause it has weird curves its very large and would touch capacators, and thinges on the 9800 pro  and it is easy to hook up cause it has the stock clippings on the 9800pro's hs :bday:

hate to tell you but that is not gonna cool very well. It's all contact area. And the transfer between the two heatsinks is terrible, seeing only the fins touch the big apple heatsink. You are going to get worse temps. Try dremeling the big apple heatsink so that it doesn't touch anything, and then attaching the fans, then you've got yourself a good heatsink. If that worked we would attach Xheatsinks until they hit an obstruction in our case.

hm maby ill cut off the ati heat sinks fins then grind it down then place the apple hs on it cause the ati hs got the clippings to go on the card

It would be alot more painfree to just take stock socket 462 heat sink, drill two holes in it, and slap her on there.
