Internet Requests Time Out

Ok, first a general Idea of the setup.

I have a Netgear Wireless Router connected to my ADSL and Wirelessly distrbuting the Internet. Now my Laptop can connect to it perfectly fine and surf etc, however my mother's laptop is another matter, Its using My wifi card at the moment Its a Orinoco Silver(our other one was DOA and is getting replaced atm)

So whenever you try to go on the internet on her laptop the page starts loading then just randomly Stalls, virtually never gets the page first time, you have to refresh a couple times, This happens with Firefox and MSIE.

I've tried running a Ping to the router, theres no packet loss and the signal is great (shes about 8 foot and one wall away from router). But when i ping google or something i get the odd packet lost, like once every 20 or 30

Any ideas?

First thing I would try would be to put both laptops side by side and start going through all the networking and internet settings. Chances are there is a setting somewhere on hers that differs from yours that is causing the problem.

i.e. both are set up to talk to the router just fine, but where your's is also set up properly to talk through the router to the internet, her's isn't.
