Oh my, yes it is. Quite a bit smaller, too, so you can fit the CLC, Driver, and Spy all on one floppy. :)
Bumped that thread up for you.

I've set up the command line one instead......I take it it's just a case of d/l the .exe file from SETI?......

Yep! Or I've posted that with Driver and Spy in the thread titled as such. :)
Here are the direct downloads you need Windows CLC (ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/setiathome/setiathome-3.03.i386-winnt-cmdline.exe), Seti Spy (http://pages.tca.net/roelof/setispy/SetiSpy.exe), Seti Driver (http://www.wakeassoc.com/setidriver/SETIDriver.zip) and here are the instructions (http://overclockers.ws/seti/Instr1.htm) you need to follow to get them up and running. Or if you downloaded the zip just follow the instructions.
Welcome Red Death!
You'll probably be the first person in Contact (they'll be looking for Export Ale)!

Always good to have another cruncher, welcome aboard, now just wait 'till you start building more systems to crunch with, I jus finished my 3rd bird today ;)
This won't be popular but I recommend NOT using the clc version. I used it and my wu time on my backup machine went from 24 hours to 42 hours (that's not a typo). You decide for yourself but I figured I'd throw in my 2 cents.
P.S. I just past wu #100 today, 200 here I come!

Just a question: was that over a period of time, or just a few wus?

In that case I would suggest using each for a WU or two to figure out which one works better for you.
That seems rather odd, though. Not that I disbelieve you, I'm sure that you know what happened on your machine. Just seems odd is all.
Here's how it went. My first wu ever took approx. 24 hours. I didn't want to waste any time and that seemed like a long time so I posted asking those who had experience if that was a good time for a K6-2 @500 (or 550 I can't remember how I had it configured back then). The general concensus was that that was too much time and people suggested I use the clc. I downloaded it and installed it as the doco said to and let it work. 42 hours later and it finished my second wu ever at which point I de-installed it and went back to the screen saver version. In both cases my hardware was the same and I ran the screen saver set to run in the background all the time. Since re-setting to the screen saver version my times have been in a range as low as 22.5 hours and as high as 26.5 hours and I'm not complaining about it!

How odd.
At least you didn't lose heart!
Crunch on!
I believe you too, but my k6-2 450 does a wu in 21 to 30 hours using clc. I forget the term ( I don't track wu's that close) but some work units can take considerably longer than others.
You might (I stress might!) get faster results if you screw around with both, trackin times for maybe 6 units with each?
Just a thought!

You would be thinking of low Angle WUs.
I realize the single clc unit could have been an abberation but look at my avatar

If that isn't someone who demands speed then I don't know who does! I won't take the chance that the clc might do better if given another chance because it just as easily might not.

Well if it's speed that is demanded of you...get a Tbird. :)

Well, I left the screensaver one (running in the background permenantly) on, 50% of one wu completed in 5 hours........
