View Full Version : so did i damage the extra pipes/shaders after the first 3dmark run?
wierd thing!
i got my card. I unlocked it, ran it at stock speeds. 3dmark03 looked beatiful w/no artifacts and i got a score of 10,713 (STOCK!!! :D)
then, every run after that had little white dots on some parts of the run and i couldnt OC at all! so since it was artificating? i got a rather crappy score...
can anyone shed some light?

If thats happend im guessing youre pipes are dammadged, you didnt hurt them by unlocking them they come like that remember its not a grauntee all 6800NU's will fully unlock..
Did you use Rivatuner to unlock or did you do a bios flash ?
Also the core of 410... Thats really high on a 6800NU, try lowering the core to 380 (just to test it out) and re run the 3dmark.
I bet you it was just ur card overheatng from being oced to far
Re-run the 3dmark @ say 380/800, or re-run the test on stock speeds. If you get no artifacts o nstock and ur pipes are still unlocked then it was ur oc that wasj ust to high thats all
Yea just run it at stock speed and see if you still have the little white dots. It might just be overheating from the oc like Candymancan said.
That is a killer score score. The same w/ mine was just a hair under 10000.
that score was running 325/700 w/no oc'n
and i'v tried running it like that again, but no go (when this whole thing happened.. a couple weeks ago)
btw, i monitored the temps via the nvidia utility on my 2nd monitor and they never aceeded 65C... so it is still possible that it was somehow overheating?

Up top you said you ran it on stock first then a fw more runs it artifacted and you couldnt oc anymore. So were oced from the start or not ??
I would re-lock the pipes back to stock and re-run the tests again oced and stock to see if it is ok or not.
okay
ill do that as soon as i get home
I had to put mine back to normal seeing is the extra pipes caused artifact's no matter what I tried. Funny thing is tho they didnt come till after a couple loop's.
