I think you need a cell/mobile phone for that to work.

I only have a cell phone, i dont have a landline, So this peice would be cool for when im hanging out at home.

I can't say for sure if it will work (power levels are different between cell phones and land phones), but I can tell you the wiring.

Cell phone plug: Tip=mic + ; center ring=speaker +; shaft end=common for both (-) together.

Telephone Handset: red=speaker +; green speaker - (common); yellow=mic +; black=mic - (common).

So extrapolating, the cell plug's tip is the yellow handset wire, the second conductor is the red wire, and the last conductor (closest to the plastic) is both the black and the green.

I didn't look too awefully close at that page, and don't know if he's adding anything within the handsets to balance the power levels or not, but hey, if you got time and parts, go for it!
