program to move data besides explorer?

it seems that explorer has gone retarded. so i need to reinstall windows.

right now all of the programs work except for explorer. so by going altctrl del, and "new task" i can open programs. i have a blank HD that i can transfer stuff to, but i dont know of any program that i can use to do it.

if i cant transfer data from hd to hd manualy, then im hoping i can burn stuff to a cd using alchahol 120 or something.

anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like you have a virus, get out a virus scanner and run it w/ up2date virus definitions. Otherwise use knoppix, or run cmd and use the cp command.

i ran avg, its up to date and its the only one i have... and it came up with nothing. tryed checkdisk too.
