I'm interested in doing the Vdimm mod on my P4C800 board. I have all the needed cequipment, VR, DMM wire ect. I'm running Corsair XMS PC3200 3-3-3-8. It runs at 230mhz or 460mhz in dual channel now with no problems. I just recently sinked up all of the mosfets with microcool sinks. Does anybody know how much voltage these sticks willl take? So what benefits does volt modding give me? Will I be able to run my memory at a higher frequency(460mhz+) in dual channel?

most of the newer chips dont need alot of voltage mostly 2.9-3.0 will do(with a few notable exceptions). but the only way to know for sure is to hit em with 3.2 volts and see how they respond

the asus boards are nice and easy to mod.usually just putting a trimming on a vsense component to grd. also another nice thing about asus is on most(not all) as u raise the vcore the nb raises with it..

Well I did the mod and cranked the Vdiimm up to 3.0. I'm running 3 sticks of corsair xms pc3200 and one stick of wintec industries because one of my corsair sticks went bad and I just ordered another one so i'm using the wintec pc3200 untill i get my newstick from corsair. As of now I'm running my ram at 466mhz and it's stable even with the wintec stick. This wintec must be a pretty good stick since it's pc3200 and running at 233mhz. When I get the 4th stick from cosair I'm gonna try and go higher then 233.
